One Call, That’s All Pilot Transition
Utilita Giving and Auriga Services can confirm that their current partnership delivery phase of the ‘One Call, That’s All’ (OCTA) pilot will conclude on 31 January 2026, marking over a year of partnership delivery. The OCTA pilot will continue beyond this date, with Utilita Giving investing in its ongoing delivery through to the end of the pilot term on 31 October 2026 - ensuring consistent support for people and communities experiencing hardship.
OCTA is a pioneering model designed, developed and commissioned by Utilita Giving to tackle fuel and food poverty. The pilot was designed not only to respond to crisis, but to deliver lasting transformation — ensuring people receive the right support at the right time, feel heard and less stressed in the moment, and go on to experience reduced financial hardship, increased confidence and a sense of hope longer term.
At its heart, OCTA is about offering a single, joined-up solution, reducing duplication, and treating every individual as a whole person. Whether through a central point of access or local voluntary sector support, the model has consistently prioritised dignity, efficiency, and impact.
Over the past year, the pilot has generated valuable insights and informed both organisations’ approaches to crisis support. Hundreds of people have been supported – from urgent material aid to income maximisation and debt advice. In 2025, the programme was recognised as an award-winning approach for its innovative and collaborative design — a reflection of the partnership effort to tackle suffering and hardship caused by fuel and food poverty in new ways.
While originally designed as a 24-month pilot, the current partnership delivery phase of One Call, That’s All will conclude on 31 January 2026. During this period, Auriga Services will continue to manage the place-based element of delivery, accept referrals until the end of August 2025, and oversee support to all open cases through to closure. However, Utilita Giving will continue investing in the model’s delivery through to 31 October 2026, ensuring ongoing support for people and communities experiencing hardship throughout the full pilot period.
From 1 February 2026, Utilita Giving will directly grant manage the nine charity delivery partners to ensure continuity of support and maintain strong voluntary sector relationships during the final stage of the pilot.
Utilita Giving will continue to evolve and deliver the OCTA model beyond January 2026 through new partnerships and investment. Auriga will continue its broader mission to drive financial inclusion across the UK through a range of national programmes and services.
Utilita Giving thanks everyone involved – from Utilita Energy and the nine charity partners to Auriga’s caseworkers and the individuals who engaged with the pilot - for their dedication to tackling hardship and supporting meaningful change. Utilita Giving also extends sincere thanks to its funder, Utilita Energy, whose generosity and unwavering belief in the OCTA mission have underpinned the pilot’s success.
