How jersey sales are benefitting charities

Utilita Giving has entered the world of football partnerships - utilising the sport to benefit local fuel and food poverty initiatives.

The charity’s primary commercial partner, Utilita Energy, is a household name across the Beautiful Game, boasting deals with clubs at every level from the Premier League to Grassroots.

This season, Utilita Giving has become a major part of the suppliers’ partnerships with Luton Town, Huddersfield Town and Bristol Rovers.

The agreements mean Utilita Giving are donating £2 of EVERY Luton shirt sold this season to local charities. The same goes for every Bristol Rovers away shirt and Huddersfield third jersey.

Keira Meadus from Utilita Giving said:

“We are incredibly grateful to Utilita for including us in their football partnerships – there are few better ways to be seen by so many people and raise awareness.

“Through these agreements, we have forged some incredibly strong relationships in the Luton, Huddersfield and Bristol areas, which will allow us to reach even more vulnerable people moving forward.

“Thank you again to Utilita and the clubs. Together, we are making a real difference.”

The beneficiaries are: Food Cycle Luton; Luton Foodbank; Action Force Community Group; Huddersfield Town Foundation; Operation Christmas Hamper; and North Bristol and South Gloucestershire Food Bank.

Avid League One watchers may have also spotted the Utilita Giving logo on the shorts of Bolton Wanderers’ third kit.
