Grants for three crucial food projects

Three crucial food projects have been substantially backed by Utilita Giving - with two purchasing brand-new vans through grants from the charity.

The Big Difference in Southampton now owns an all-electric vehicle, which will be used to redistribute donated produce across the SO postcode.

Durham and Sunderland Foodbank also has a new van to help reach more vulnerable people in the Northeast.

Both purchases were fully covered by Utilita Giving grants.

Alongside this, the charity has sponsored Huddersfield Town Foundation’s new Breakfast Club van, covering a significant amount of the scheme’s yearly costs.  

This Breakfast Club initiative has delivered free food and nutrients to more than 40 Kirklees schools over the past 11 years.
