Utilita Giving hits the high streets

Utilita Giving and the Blackburn Energy Hub teams on launch day

Utilita Giving now has a crucial presence amongst some of the UK’s most bustling communities.

Our primary commercial partner Utilita has introduced the charity to the high street through its Energy Hubs.

These are brick-and-mortar stores providing face-to-face services up and down the country.

Now, each Hub boasts a food collection point. All donations to these are distributed to local charities, families and individuals through Utilita Giving.

Residents can also speak with Energy Hub staff about the charity should they need advice, financial support, or something more.

Keira Meadus from Utilita Giving said:

“We only launched Utilita Giving earlier this year, but we are already making a difference to some of the most vulnerable people across the UK.

“As costs continue to rise across the board, the work we do is becoming more important by the day, which is why we want to promote the charity in the heart of busy towns and cities, on the High Streets, to reach those who need us most.”

The flagship launch event was held at Utilita’s Blackburn Energy Hub, hosted by former England goalkeeper David James MBE.

The ex-pro was on hand for photos, autographs and even entertained the children with football-themed games.

Keira added:

“The Blackburn launch was fantastic.

“David pulled in quite the crowd and while most people came in to take photographs with him, they left to spread the word about Utilita Giving.

“It was a fun day with an incredibly important underlying message.”
