Natasha’s Story
Natasha is a mother of three who lives in a council-rented property.
She struggles with her mental health, and the rising cost of living had made it increasingly difficult for her to cope financially.
Her priority debts had become unmanageable, and she was finding it hard to afford enough food for her family. Natasha had also fallen into arrears with her energy supplier and was without a fully functioning fridge freezer. This made it extremely challenging to buy and store food on a regular basis.
To help ease the immediate pressures she was facing, we provided:
A fuel voucher to support her with rising energy costs
A supermarket voucher to relieve food insecurity
A new fridge freezer
The new fridge freezer has made a real difference to Natasha’s day-to-day life, allowing her to store food properly and freeze meals. This has helped make her food budget more manageable.
We also cleared Natasha’s energy arrears in full. Alongside this, a full financial statement was completed and tailored budgeting advice was provided. This support will help her better manage her money going forward and reduce the risk of falling into further arrears.
With these immediate pressures lifted, Natasha is now in a more stable position and is better equipped to manage her household finances and focus on her family’s wellbeing.
